I just thought that even though I don’t write my blog so often, whenever I write my blog, it’s always about Finance or Accounting….

Well, doesn’t mean I would change my stance, but I guess sometimes, I should write something other than those business topics.

Last Wednesday, I read News about Columbia University. The school gets over 400 million dollars gift from a media entrepreneur John W. Kluge.

Simply, I thought if I went to Columbia University and pursued masters, then it would be much easier to receive some kind of scholarship(s).

I’ve been in US for more than 5 years now and from the beginning, my parents FULLY supported me.

Even though I am receiving some scholarships, but still I am an INTERNATIONAL STUDENT and paying twice or three times higher tuition than residents.

Therefore, they won’t have much more money left in their pocket after I attain my bachelor degree.

Ever since I move to Detroit, the tuition difference or rather I would call INTRNATIONAL STUDENT discrimination was considerably better than when I was in Los Angeles.

I really want to go to grad school within this 5years or so but don’t want my parents to financially support me anymore because I want them to enjoy their retirement.

Anyway, the choices are either I pay the tuition which is approximately $45,000 annually or get a decent job with BIG company and ask for support for my education.

Both choices are not realistic right now, but one thing I can start preparing for my ROAD to grad school, which is study for GMAT and take GMAT before I graduate.

This summer, I will study for both CFA and GMAT. Hope I would be a bookworm instead of being bookwarm.
