I don't think it's necessary

Read this -Calif. schools to fingerprint students - Yahoo! News
at some elementary schools in calif. plan to fingerprint students when they buy lunch.
an issue here is a privacy.
Currently, the school using a paper students who are applying governmental subsidy to sign in.
and it is inappropriate to reveal who is in the list....
Let's see from the economic point of view.
under current process, students sign their name, and then an officer record it into the computer and send it out to the governement.
I don't say the record students name into the computer is waste; however, it is pretty close.
well, yes, by adopting this system, there are some benefits such as student line might move faster.
I don't see clear reason for adopting this system. Is it necesarry for kids????
I don't think so.....
