Japanese Version of 401k

Today, I want to say something about Japanese 401k.

In this article, Japanese doing 401k are more than 2million people now.
When I read this, I thought something like this "what? finally? that's too slow, men."
In here, U.S., it is very normal people doing 401k.
why it's so popular in U.S.
I guess first of all cultural thing is different.
many Americans knows that putting money in the bank doesn't bring money back to you, whereas many Japanese don't know or don't want to take a risk at all.
let's see, U.S. treasury-bill is 3% and a bit more APR right now, and Japanese bank saving APR is 0.1%.
which means, Japanese bank simply can buy U.S. T-bill (3 something%) with the money Japanese people deposit to their bank.
Then they can automatically make at least 3% out of it.
In a reality, banks never go for so secure way, so their return is much higher, something like (10%) at least.
imagine, you put $100 today into your bank account, and bank automatically make $10.
Bank can make so much more in the real world.
because your $100 is not just $100 anymore. banks can creats more money out of it.

I want Japanese people to know taking risk. without taking risk, how they earn money.
stop letting banks earn moeny.

Investing is not gamble at all. if you study properly, then it is "Investment."
Hope more Japanese people will understand that.
